August & September Favorites

Being that summer has already come to an end I thought it would be fun to share my favorite products from August and September.  I have provided links to the products I’ve mentioned and have categorized them. The categories are in the following order: Makeup, Hair, Face and Body & Home Essentials. If you’ve tried any of these products or want to know more, leave me a comment down below! All prices are rounded up to the nearest whole dollar.

Processed with VSCO with m5 presetThe Jaclyn Hill Eyeshadow Palette from MORPHE $38

I LOVE this palette! I got it this past Christmas and it has been my go to when I do my eyeshadow. If you know me personally, I don’t really do a full face of glam everyday, that isn’t really my style. However, I am trying to wear makeup more often. I mainly dip into the first three rows. I’m not ready to venture out into the greens and blues.

High end mascaras are a tad bit overpriced. I can’t get myself to spend $20 on a mascara, I would rather spend that money on lipstick or blush. I find that drug store mascaras do the trick. This is my favorite one at the moment. My go to used to be ScandalEyes by Rimmel($6), don’t get me wrong, I still love it but I needed to try something new. Lash Paradise is an affordable dupe to the Better than Sex mascara by Too Faced which is $24.

High Impact Highlighter in shade “Lit” from MORPHE $14

Highlighters that look like foil on your face are not my favorite. I don’t live for a “blinding” highlight as most beauty gurus like to call it. This one my Morphe is subtle and natural. It still gives you a glow but it isn’t super intense.

Processed with VSCO with m5 presetMaui Moisture Curl Milk, Curl Quench + Coconut Oil, for Thick, Curly Hair $8

My hair isn’t super curly, its more wavy if anything. I use this to tame my frizz and to moisturize my hair. It also gives my waves more of a curl which is nice! I put this in my hair when it is wet after I brush it.

Conair Infiniti Pro Rainbow Titanium Curling Wand – 1″ $30

Last Sunday I bought the Conair Double Ceramic Curling Wand and returned it two days later. It left dents in my hair and didn’t curl it at all. When I went back to target I picked up the Infiniti Pro wand pictured above. I really like it. It heats up fast, and I like the way the curls come out. I can wrap my hair closer together for a tighter curl, or further apart for a looser one. I highly recommend it. I also use TRESemme Expert Selection Heat Protection Spray ($5) to tame frizz, give my hair shine and protect my hair from the heat.

Processed with VSCO with m5 preset2-pack Velour Scrunchies $6

This is just cute and fun.

Face and Body

Processed with VSCO with m5 presetOlay Oil Minimizing Clean Toner $5

This product will leave your face feeling so clean. I use this product after I’ve gotten out of the shower to remove any excess makeup or dirt that got left behind after washing my face. I use either a cotton ball or cotton pad to apply it to my face. I have to warn you though, if you popped a pimple or have one healing on your face IT WILL STING. Other than that it is great.

WATER Hyaluronic Acid Mineral Body Polish from Bath and Body Works $19

If you’re looking for an all over body exfoliator to use in the shower this is the product for you. My friend Sarah recommended that I buy this so I gave it a shot and was very impressed. It smells so clean and fresh and reminds me of the beach. After using it your skin will feel new and super soft!

They no longer sell this body wash but it smells amazing. I love everything that smells like coconut and summer. Keep an eye out for it at Victoria’s Secret in case they bring it back.

Home Essentials

Processed with VSCO with m5 presetSmall Harvest Happy Fall Pumpkin Metallic Cream $3

Fall had officially begun! This is my favorite season of all time! I had to pick up this gem when I went to Target his week. Its the perfect size to have as a decoration on your desk or your bathroom counter and the price is a happy medium.

Processed with VSCO with m5 presetIt has that typical smell that you find in Bath and Body Works at this time of the year, it smells like FALL!

Cinnamon pumpkin candle $3. I can’t find a link to this but you can look for it at Target in the Dollar Spot. Here is a similar one they had in the candle section.

Processed with VSCO with m5 presetFebreze Air Fresh Fall Pumpkin $3. You can find this edition at your local H-E-B or a similar version is sold at Walmart.

This is another product to have your house smelling nice. If you aren’t a fan of candles, this is a great alternative. Spray this around your house, close your eyes, and imagine being on a Pumpkin Patch in 70 degree weather with a latte in your hand. The imagery.

Processed with VSCO with m5 presetMonopoly Deal $6

Last but certainly not least, if you are a fan of the Monopoly game but aren’t a fan of spending 5 hours of your day playing, this game is for you. Jason and I have been playing this game on our free time and enjoy how quick the game can be finished. In one hour we’re able to play 3 to 4 rounds! Its so fun! 10/10 recommend! Make sure to read the instructions because it can be a bit confusing at first, however, once you get the hang of it you won’t want to stop playing!

If you’ve made it this far, I hope that you have a fabulous week and…
