Recently I’ve been watching a lot of “What’s in my bag?” videos on youtube! Usually before I buy anything I watch youtube videos and read millions of reviews on it to make sure I really want it. Spending money on a new purse is a big deal and I see myself getting fixated on every detail before making the final purchase. Ever since the first time I went to New York City in 2010 I have been wanting a Longchamp Le Pliage nylon purse. I saw so many business women and tourists rocking this cute bag in the crowded streets of New York and I knew I had to have one. Years passed and I never got around to buying one. I debated on what color, size, and strap length I should get for weeks! It became my new fixation. I would stay up all night watching videos of Longchamp bag collections and what girls would carry in their bags.
I finally decided to get the nylon Longchamp Small Le Pliage tote bag with the long handles which retails for $125. Not only is it small enough for everyday wear but it is big enough to fit a 13″ Mac Book (it is a tight fit but it works). Oh! I forgot to mention, I got the bag in the color Pink Ice off of Nordstrom. I found that Nordstrom had a bigger color selection than the actual Longchamp store.
The only downside I have found with this bag is that it gets dirty really easily. Nothing a quick wet towel with soap can’t fix!
What’s In It
This tote bag is a big pit with one small pocket big enough for your keys and maybe some loose change. Usually I have my phone in hand, but when I don’t I just toss it into the bag. An iPhone 7/8/X Plus will NOT fully fit in the little pocket.
Lipstick: My current go to is the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in the color Canes. It’s a perfect everyday color that brings a little brightness to your look. The great thing about NYX is that it’s super AFFORDABLE. This lip cream is only $6.50!!!
Hair ties: I have recently been obsessed with the Invisibobble hair rings. I like the stretch they have and how they don’t pull my hair out. I’ve tried dupes for these from Old Navy and they did not work! They were so stiff, I couldn’t even fit my hand through them. They retail for $8, however, I got some at Walgreens for about $5 around Christmas time.
Wristlet: The red wristlet shown above is from Coach. I got it at the outlet mall on sale for $25! I believe the original price for these is $75. In here I keep my lipstick, hair ties, chapstick, bandaids, bobby pins, a travel size perfume, and hand sanitizer. Since the Longchamp bag is a big pit, I feel more comfortable having things compartmentalized.
Wallet: I’ve been using my Louis Vuitton Zippy Coin Purse. They no longer sell the exact one that I have so I linked a similar one.
Sunglasses: I keep a pair of sunglasses in my bag now because I always seems to forget them when it’s really sunny outside. I unfortunately can’t wear them while driving because I don’t have contacts and the sunglasses aren’t prescribed. I’ve had this pair of Ray-Ban Aviators since I was 14 years old… I’m 23 now! Might need a new pair soon! *hint hint* These retail for $153 and I got them in a size large, I have a big face, don’t judge!
Umbrella: I just bought this umbrella a couple of days ago at Walmart for $8 after seeing it on Instagram and I love it so much! The blue gingham design is so perfect and a great pop of color on a rainy day. It also opens up pretty big. It has been raining off and on here in Texas so what better excuse to buy a new umbrella! It’s so preppy too!
Compact Powder: Last but certainly not least, I keep my MAC Studio Fix Powder in the shade NC30 with me at all times. It is perfect for touching up your makeup throughout the day. This is my go to when I don’t feel like wearing liquid foundation. I don’t like the feeling of wearing a lot of makeup, so if you’re like me, definitely go buy this powder. It retails for $30.
I hope my post was helpful if you were looking into buying a Longchamp bag or any of these products!
