Summer is finally here y’all and that means I get to share my favorites with you! I know this summer season is barely kicking off but I already have a bunch of items that I’ve been loving so far and couldn’t wait to show you. As you may know, Fall is my favorite season of the year, but Summer is just as great! Except the heat, she can be a bit brutal in the summer time, am I right?! During the summer I enjoy going to the beach, swimming
in the pool, going on road trips and eating watermelon. Best of all, I like smelling fresh and looking cute and effortless with the clothes I choose to wear.
Quick sidetone: Am I the only one that associates certain smells with seasons?! Coconut and light fragrances always remind me of the summer time! I also like the smell of sunscreen and tanning oil (I might be alone on that one).
Bath & Body Works came out with a new collection this summer which smells absolutely gorgeous! Gingham is one of those scents that definitely embodies summer in the south! Plus the packaging is to die for! It is a fresh light floral scent that has hints of citrus. I wear the body mist every day and really love the way the candle makes my room smell!
If you’re reading this now, Bath & Body Works is having their Semi-Annual Sale and this item is on sale for $6.50! I’ve always really liked buying shower gels from them but when I saw this body wash I had to try it. It is a different formula than you’re average shower gel, it has a creamy consistency. After one wash my skin felt really moisturized and soft which is always the great, especially in the summer time!

Last month, James Avery had their annual special promotion where you buy two charms and get a chain for free. I went into the store specifically to get my grandmother a charm for her birthday. BUT, I had been eyeing this key charm since Christmas and told myself I deserved it. The length of my chain is 18 inches. I like to alternate wearing this one, my Rose Gold Kendra Scott Elisa and my Tiffany’s necklace on a daily basis.

This summer I’m really liking blue and white printed clothes. When I saw this dress at the Gap my jaw literally dropped. It is so gorgeous! AND it is super breathable, great for a hot summer day in Texas. I believe it is currently sold out, but keep checking the link to see when they restock!
Gap Print Split-Neck Tiered Maxi Dress
This past year I started getting into Lilly Pulitzer clothing. I had only ever bought their planners and was excited to jump into the world of resort attire. Although I don’t have the money to be buying their clothes all the time (it’s a bit pricey), they have a sale twice a year which I wrote about here! I got this dress during the sale last September and was waiting until spring/summer to wear it. It is so comfortable and I’ve gotten so many compliments on it. They are not selling this print at the moment, however, I went ahead and linked the same style of dress in another print below.

These pants go great with solid white, navy and black tops! I love the way they look when I pair them with my Jacks! Gingham pants are a fun way to spice of any outfit! To be honest, I was a little reluctant to try these on. Usually printed pants make my legs look huge, but to my surprise these are extremely flattering on my body!

I don’t know about you, but in the summer I live in dresses and shorts, especially when I’m running errands. The classic Nike shorts that all college students wear never fit me right for some reason. However, these ones from Old Navy are so comfortable, fit perfect and are super cute! They have so many colors and are a third of the price of Nike and Under Armour shorts.
This is a new jumpsuit I recently bought at American Eagle. I’ve only worn it once this summer and have already gotten many compliments wearing it. This is another light and easy piece you can throw on. The only down fall is that the back is loose on me so I have to keep reaching behind me to pick it up. I probably should have tried on a smaller size to compare but it fits well everywhere else. Still love it.
American Eagle Halter Jumpsuit
I already wrote a post talking all about these beauties right here. After breaking them in they became so comfortable! Great staple sandal to have in your wardrobe. They have so many colors to choose from! Definitely want a gold pair next!
Jack Rogers Navy Palm Beach Sandals
These are another pair of sandals that I’m loving this summer. They are a great shoe if you’re going to be walking around a lot. The footbed has a nice cushion which makes them really comfortable. I don’t think I’ve ever owned white shoes beside my converse, so buying these was me stepping out of my comfort zone.
Lastly, I never thought I would cheat on Starbucks. But these past few weeks I’ve been on a money crunch and couldn’t spend my usual $5 on a coffee. Desperate times call for desperate measures. I went to Burger King and ordered a small vanilla iced coffee. IT WAS $1.08! When the girl at the window told me the price I just about fainted! I thought it was too good to be true. I 10/10 recommend the vanilla flavor, it’s delicious.
If you’ve made it this far, congrats! I know my posts can be a bit lengthy but if you know me in real life, you know that I like to go into detail and can be quite a chatter box at times. I hope this post has given you some insight into what I like and maybe inspired you to try something knew or out of your comfort zone. I plan on posting a lot more this summer so stick around! I hope you have a happy Monday and enjoy the rest of your week!
